Rainfall is projected to reach 96 to 104 percent of the Long Period Average, or LPA, according to media estimates. Rainfall is expected to be 101 percent of the LPA from June to September across the country. The Southwest Monsoon, which occurs from June to September, is expected to be typical over Northwest India (92-108 percent) and the South Peninsula region (93-107 percent ). Rainfall in Northeast India is expected to be below normal, according to the prediction. The core Monsoon zone, which encompasses the majority of the country’s rain-fed agricultural regions, is expected to receive above-average rainfall.
