The Indian Air Force scrambled Su-30MKI and Mirage jets in response following which the Pakistani jets retreated further into their territory, news agency ANI added.

The incident took place at 3am on Monday.

Last month, two Pakistani fighters were detected going supersonic 10km from the Line of Control (LoC) within the territory of PoK in J&K’s Poonch.

In the ensuing dogfight, one F-16 fighter of Pakistan Air Force was shot down by the Indian Air Force, which also lost a MiG-21 Bison plane.
