India’s Cartosat 2 series satellite is also called ‘I in the Sky’.

Sriharikota: India launches 100th satellite from Satish Dhawan Space Center of Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh, which includes 28 foreign satellites from 3 and 6 different countries of India. This will be India’s biggest success in space, because in August last year PSLV-C39’s mission had failed. India has taken a lesson from this and has corrected its flaws and redesigned the launch vehicle PSLV.

The Indian satellites that have been launched include one 100 kilogram micro satellite and a five kilogram nano satellite. The largest satellite in it is the satellite of Cartosat 2 series of India, which is also called ‘Eye in the Sky’, which is ‘Eye in the Sky’ of India. This is a ‘semantic imaging’ satellite, which takes pictures of the Earth. It is used to keep an eye on enemies in the eastern and western borders of India.

The rest 28 belong to the Canada, Finland, France, South Korea, the UK and the United States. The total weight of all 31 satellites is 1323 kg.

It may be mentioned here that on August 31 last year, the maritime satellite IRNSS-1H was launched from similar rocket but due to the failure of the heat shield, the satellite failed in the fourth phase of the rocket.

A 28-hour countdown was started on Thursday morning after the approval of the MissionReadiness Review (MRR) committee and launch authorization board (LAB) on Wednesday to launch PSLV-C40 / Cartosat 2 Series satellites.
