Despite being admonished by police authorities for doing so, a UK woman drove hundreds of miles during the lockdown to have a taste of her favourite burger. McDonald’s in Australia has now received a takeaway order for AUD 3,400 (about Rs. 1.86 lakh) in meals.

The image was extensively shared on social media when it was shared on a Facebook group for McDonald’s employees. Last week, this McDonald’s in Australia received the massive order. Only a portion of the sequence that appears on the screen is visible in the image. There were 70 Angus clubhouse burgers ordered, as well as one cheeseburger without pickles. The customer also placed an order for 39 medium McFamily boxes, bringing the total to 234 burgers. In addition, the order included 39 McNuggets and 69 big fries.

The massive takeaway order left the employees at a McDonald’s in Australia dumbfounded. “I’d quit on the spot if I saw that order,” one user noted, while another remarked on “the sheer audacity of that one cheeseburger.” It’s unclear whether the order was a fake or real.
