Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that his first priority is to serve the people and work continuously for their betterment.

The Central and state governments are running many welfare schemes for our poor brothers and sisters, he said.

It is the responsibility of the officers-employees to see that the eligible people get the benefit of these schemes, he said.

Those who do injustice to the poor will not be spared, he said.

Chief Minister Chouhan got feedback by calling the beneficiaries on the stage in the camp of Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan in Devjhiri Gram Panchayat of Jhabua district.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is the duty of all of us to ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes of the government are provided to the eligible beneficiaries, so that there can be joy and happiness in the lives of the needy.

Our success is the social and economic empowerment of poor families, he said.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that due to the jointly held accounts of farmers living in joint families, many farmers are deprived of taking benefits of agricultural welfare schemes.

He said that for the economic empowerment of the farmers, it is necessary that the farmers should get the full benefits of the schemes.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that a special campaign would be launched to separate the land accounts of farmer families.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Jayanti, we are determined to follow the path shown by him that is Daridra ki sewa hi Narayan ki Sewa hai (Serving poor is the service to God).

He directed the officers to ensure that the eligible persons of the schemes identified in the Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan, which will run till October 31, should be identified and benefitted.

No eligible person should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme, he said. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the new collector of Jhabua to dispose of all the applications received in the Jan Seva Abhiyan camp with sensitivity.

Benefit distribution

Chouhan distributed benefits under Pension Scheme, Ayushman Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana and loan amount to self-help groups of Aajeevika Mission in the camp.

Under the Higher Education Department, a government college building constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore 46 lakh was dedicated in Meghnagar and a water supply scheme costing Rs 15 crore was dedicated in 15 villages of Jhabua district under Jal Jeevan Mission. Jhabua-Ratlam MP Guman Singh Damor, MLA, along with public representatives, officers and a large number of villagers were present.
