In a relief for Madhya Pradesh Minister for Revenue and Transport Govind Singh Rajput, the habeas corpus plea in which he was respondent is withdrawn by the petitioner Sitaram Patel from the Supreme Court.

The petitioner Sitaram Patel himself appeared before the court and applied for withdrawal of the petition.

The petitioner Sitaram Patel had filed a habeas corpus petition against the minister in the court in connection with his father’s disappearance. It was alleged in the petition that on August 22, 2016, his father was called by Rajput to meet him, after which his father was missing. His father had filed a case against Rajput in the Tehsildar court regarding the land.

Sitaram (Mahesh Patel), who accused the minister in the case, had revealed that expelled BJP leaders Rajkumar Singh Dhanaura and Vinay Malaiya had offered him Rs 2 crore to lodge the complaint.

Sitaram says that he had filed a false report due to the greed of both of them, both had given him Rs 10,000 in advance to call him in a garden and file the report. Sitaram had also filed a police report against both of them. Sitaram said that both the leaders later forcefully took him to the Supreme Court in a car and also made him sign some unknown papers.
After this disclosure by Sitaram, the police have also registered a case against leaders Rajkumar Singh Dhanaura and Vinay Malaiya under sections 342, 506 and 120B of the IPC.
