Madhya Pradesh Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput greeted the department’s staff for achieved target 15 days ahead of closing of financial year 2022-23.

He said three districts with excellent performance will be rewarded.

Along with this, Transport Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jha and Additional Transport Commissioner (Enforcement) Arvind Kumar Saxena too were praised for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of revenue collection.

Rajput said that it is the result of the hard work and dedication of the departmental staff that the transport department has earned record revenue this time.

He said that collective checking was done in a planned manner through regional and district transport officers, check post in-charges and security squads, as a result of which the department was successful in collecting revenue ahead of time.

Transport Minister Mr. Rajput told that according to the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a target of Rs 3800 crore given for the financial year 2022-23 to the Transport Department, against which the department has achieved Rs. 3876.164 crore by the active participation of the staff by March 21, 2023.

Rajput has expressed hope that the department will be successful in achieving additional revenue collection of about 150 crores by March 31.

Reward for staff in districts above target collection

In the three metropolitan cities of the state, Indore and Gwalior, the staff of the department will be rewarded with the incentive for collecting revenue more than the target.

With this innovation, there will be an increase in enthusiasm in the collection of revenue in the coming financial year, along with competition among the transport staff of other districts for revenue collection, which will benefit the department, he said.
