Governor Mangubhai Patel has termed the excellent performance of the NCC teams of M.P. and Chhattisgarh Directorate in the National Republic Day celebrations as a matter of pride. He congratulated the contingent of NCC cadets and all the members participating in the parade who returned from Delhi. The Governor presented medals, citations amd prize money to NCC cadets Khushi Mahawar, Ayushi Tiwari and Sushri Ishika Gurjar for outstanding performance in various categories. The Governor also congratulated the military officers, jawans and part-time NCC officers for training the cadets. The Governor was addressing the ‘NCC at Home’ program at Sandipani Auditorium of Raj Bhavan Complex.

The Governor said that the main purpose of NCC is to develop the spirit of unity with dedication, sacrifice and discipline towards the nation. NCC is not just training, it is a project to build human sensibilities and dedicated citizens towards the nation. NCC activities of courage in adverse circumstances, facing challenges firmly and the priceless cultural heritage of the country, programs of harmony and brotherhood strengthen the sense of service to the nation.

NCC cadets should come forward to cooperate in voter awareness efforts also

GovernorPatel said that N.C.C. organizes various programs of social concern, social service and public awareness. He called upon the N.C.C. cadets to come forward and cooperate in voter awareness efforts also. The Governor said that there is no substitute for hard work and dedication for success in life.

He expressed confidence that in the future too, they will make the country and the state proud by achieving new goals with the same enthusiasm. Only the youth will take forward the development journey of the country till the 100th year of India’s independence.

Every child of the country should be an NCC cadet for a strong, prosperous and capable India

Governor Shri Patel said that for building a strong, prosperous and capable India, it is necessary that every child of the country should be an NCC cadet. They should make their identity in the society as the brand ambassadors of selfless service and determination in NCC towards the nation and society. By setting an example, they should inspire their community, children and particularly the girl child to join NCC. He extended his best wishes to all N.C.C. cadets for a golden and bright future.

In the program, M.P. and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate’s Additional Director General Major General Ajay Kumar Mahajan said that this year, the maximum number of 166 cadets of the directorate participated in the National Republic Day celebrations so far.

Mahajan said that 3 cadets were awarded for their excellent performance. Khushi Mahawar bagged the first position, Ayushi Tiwari second and Ishika Gurjar got third place for their excellent performance in different categories. 15 cadets of the Directorate participated in Kartavya Path, 5 in President’s Guard of Honour and 2 in PM Rally Table Drill on 28th January, which is a matter of pride.

Ccultural presentation by NCC cadets

Cadet Khushi Mahawar shared her experiences of the ceremony. Captivating cultural presentations based on the life of Maa Ahilya, conservation of rivers and regional dance of tribal community of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were given by the NCC cadets. The above presentations were also given by the cadets in the National Republic Day celebrations. Governor Patel was also part of a group photograph with the N.C.C. cadets.
