At a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharthnagar district, about 20 villagers were given mixed doses of Covishield and Covaxin. On May 14, people from Audahi Kala and another village received Covaxin shots at the primary health centre in Barhni, according to the report.

The villagers who had received Covishield in the first dose were given Covaxin, as well as a certificate, by the health workers.

When one of the villagers, Ram Surat, informed the health workers that he received different vaccines in the first and second doses, the incident was discovered.

Covishield had been given to us previously, and now Covaxin has been given to us. The first dose was given on April 1st, and the second dose was given on May 14th. While speaking with reporters, he stated that they had not seen any papers.

Officials claim that no one has suffered any negative health consequences as of yet. They did say, however, that the person responsible for the mix-up would be questioned.

Sandip Chaudhary, the Chief Medical Officer, announced on Wednesday that an investigation into the incident had been ordered. He promised that those found to be responsible for this negligence would face severe consequences. He claimed that no one had complained about their health, and that a health department team had already met with them.

The CMO admitted that 20 people received different doses of Covid-19 vaccines due to a mix-up on the part of the health workers. He said the medical teams are keeping a close eye on them.

“This is a case of carelessness. The government has given no orders to administer a cocktail of vaccines. An investigation has been ordered. The report has been submitted, and I’ve asked the person in charge to make a statement, after which the necessary action will be taken “He told reporters about it.

People who received various vaccines are stressed, but health officials say no problems have been reported with any of them so far.
