Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while making an emotional appeal to the sisters at the Ladli Bahna Sammelan and health services expansion program in Morena today said that come my sisters, create a new era where my sister, daughter and their families are happy. Everyone cooperate me. Your smile will make my life successful. Let us together develop the state and change our lives.

Chouhan said that the work done in the health department in the state in the last 3 years was not done even in the last 50 years. Our government has increased the budget of health department to 11 thousand 988 crores, which used to be very less in previous governments. Health services are being expanded at a fast pace in the state.

Chouhan said that injustice has been done to daughters for a long time. The son was considered the support of the family and the daughter a burden. The daughter supports her parents till she is alive. We have empowered daughters through various schemes in Madhya Pradesh. Now in Madhya Pradesh, daughters are not helpless, but strong.

Chouhan said that Mukhya Mantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana and now Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana are campaigns to change the lives of daughters and sisters. In the state, 50 percent seats have been reserved for daughters in Panchayat and urban bodies elections and 30 percent seats in police recruitment. In the recruitment of teachers, half the places have been kept for daughters. Where men are charged 3 percent stamp duty in the registry, women have been given the facility of one percent stamp duty.

Chouhan said that Ladli Bahna Yojana, implemented in the state after a lot of thought, is a plan to change the lives of sisters.

He told the public representatives and officials that this is a work of service, do it with full dedication, life will be blessed.

The Chief Minister instructed the Collector that the work of implementation of the scheme in the district should be done with full promptness. Instructed the Superintendent of Police to ensure that no one can take even a penny from the sisters while giving the benefits of the scheme. If anyone does this, he will be handcuffed and taken to jail.

Chouhan said that till April 30 the forms of this scheme are being filled. Processing of applications will start in May and money will start coming into the accounts of the sisters from June 10.

He said the benefit of the scheme will be given to all those sisters in the age group of 23 to 60 years, whose family’s monthly income does not exceed Rs. 20,000, does not have a 4 wheeler vehicle in the house and does not have more than 5 acres of land.

The forms of the scheme are being filled in every village and ward. All Asha, Usha and Anganwadi workers will also get the benefit of the scheme.

Chouhan said that liquor vends have been closed in the state from April 1. Also, no person can drink alcohol on the road, park or any public place. Can’t drive a vehicle after drinking alcohol. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed the Superintendent of Police to strictly follow these provisions.

Chouhan also made various announcements for the upgradation of hospitals in the state. Modular operation theaters at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore each and modular kitchens at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh each will be made in all district hospitals. Buildings will be constructed for 1440 sub-health centers of the state, which are without buildings. There will be MRI machine facility in 5 districts of the state including Morena. Drug warehouses will be set up at the divisional level for distribution of free medicines. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also announced Mukhyamantri Jeevan Janani Yojana, in which such pregnant women, who are not income tax payers, will be given assistance of Rs 4,000. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also announced the construction of a four-lane road for Morena and the Morena Ring Road.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment Narendra Singh Tomar said that Chief Minister Chouhan is very sensitive towards villages, poor, farmers and women and is continuously working for their development and welfare. The Ladli Bahna scheme is wonderful. In the state right from the birth of a girl child to her education, marriage and now financial support is being provided. Chief Minister Chouhan has done a commendable job of giving Rs. 4,000 from the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana along with Rs. 6,000 of the Prime Minister’s Samman Nidhi every year to poor farmers. The Union Minister said that the 3 years under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan is unprecedented in the state. With all-round development and progress in the state, rapid work has been done towards self-reliance.

Chouhan and Union Agriculture Minister Tomar performed bhoomi-pujan and inaugurated 631 new health structures costing Rs. 1942 crore. Benefits were distributed to the beneficiaries of various schemes.

Released Health Department’s booklet “Sampoorna Swasthya Ki Pahal” and Ladli Bahna song prepared by District Administration Morena. Chouhan was presented a memento by Ladli Bahna Sena. On the Ladli Bahna wall made at the venue Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also wrote a message for the dear sisters.

Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan, health services in the state are continuously getting strengthened. The vacancies of doctors, nurses and specialists in the hospitals of the state have also been filled.

Minister for state for Horticulture and Food Processing (Independent Charge) and in-charge of Morena district Bharat Singh Kushwaha said that after the year 2003, Madhya Pradesh is moving towards continuous development and self-reliance.

Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in various fields. Along with expansion of basic facilities in the state, various schemes are being implemented for the welfare of all sections. There has been a vast change in the standard of living of the people.

The program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Chouhan with Kanya Pujan and lighting of the lamp.

The Chief Minister and the Union Minister visited the development exhibition set up at the program venue and visited various stalls and tasted the food items prepared by the group.

The model of Morena water supply project under AMRUT scheme was also observed in the exhibition.

The president of the corporation board, legislators, public representatives, officers and a large number of sisters and citizens were present in the programme.
