Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the digital launch program of projects from Jammu under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Gyan Vigyan Bhawan of Barkatullah University, Bhopal.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will help carry out innovation, research and infrastructure development works in universities.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for their immense support for improving higher education system, he said that Madhya Pradesh will live up to the mark will emerge as the best in the country in respect of higher education.

Governor Dr Patel and Chief Minister Dr Yadav inaugurated the programme. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sanctioning Rs 400 crore to the universities of Madhya Pradesh.

The programme was held at Gyan Vigyan Bhawan of Barkatullah University, Bhopal

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi’s contribution for the unity and integrity of the country will be remembered forever.

It is noteworthy that in the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under the Prime Minister Higher Education Mission (PM-USHA), 220 development projects worth Rs. 32 thousand crores including Jammu AIIMS were inaugurated, inaugurated and the foundation stone was laid.

It may be mentioned that along with providing industrial training to the youth through the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan, the objective of the New Education Policy 2020 will also be achieved.

Assistance of Rs 100 crore each has been approved to Barkatullah, Vikram and Jiwaji Universities under the Multi-Disciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERU) component.

Similarly, under the Grant to Strengthen Universities (GSU) component, assistance of Rs 20 crore each has been approved for Devi Ahilya, Rani Durgavati, Awadhesh Pratap Singh, Pandit SN Shukla and Maharaj Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University.

With this, administrative buildings, academic buildings, research labs, library buildings, computer labs, hostels and classrooms will be constructed for infrastructure development in universities.

Besides, facilities for national and international conferences, seminars, webinars, educational tours, faculty enrichment and professional training will be available.

Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur, Additional Chief Secretary K.C. Gupta, Chairman of Private University Regulatory Commission Dr. Bharat Sharan Singh, Vice Chancellor K.K. Jain were present.
