In the wake of showing up in films like Laxmii (2020) and Bhuj: The Pride Of India (2021) and web show The Family Man, Sharad Kelkar has returned to TV, as a host. Discussing his gathering with the little screen, he says, “I’ve worked for a decent seven to eight years in the TV business. It resembles my home ground. Individuals anticipate specific reality and a harsh voice while I’m facilitating. Possibly they needed me back.”
However, he has no hesitations in conceding that he has no plans of returning to doing a fiction show. He shares, “Regardless of whether a decent show comes my direction, I don’t figure I will actually want to do this is on the grounds that my dates will not allow me. I would rather not be an entertainer who over submits and is then unfit to satisfy the requests of the makers.” Kelkar feels that doing a day by day cleanser would be very chaotic. “Television is excessively difficult. It requires a ton of time and mental fortitude. I don’t believe I’m in the space right now where I can do equity to a TV show,” he says.
Glancing back at his TV days, the Black Widows entertainer says, “I used to be one of the revolutionaries who would not be labeled as a TV entertainer. I don’t have confidence in this conviction framework where we compartmentalize entertainers as a comic, a genuine, a negative or a person entertainer.”
The main name Kelkar trusts in is that of “a decent or a nice entertainer”. “Naming an entertainer limits their space which I don’t need for myself. I would rather not limit myself, be it as far as mediums, subjects or chiefs. Nonetheless, assuming an entertainer needs to restrict himself, that is an alternate discussion. With respect to me, I’ve never moved toward any medium in an unexpected way,” he closes.
