The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHWF) organized a webinar in collaboration with ShareChat. It is a language-based social media platform, and Moj, a short video app, to raise awareness about Covid. The largest vaccination drive will now be shared through these apps.

The webinar’s goal was to get influencers to act as catalysts by educating and sharing reliable information with their audiences. It took place on World Social Media Day, which falls on June 30.

Joint Secretary, Health, Lav Agarwal, said,”as influencers, you represent the youth of this country, and we need your support to make an impact in disseminating factual and evidence-based information to reach people far and wide and help the country to come out of Covid-19 successfully.”

During the webinar, participants were given access to an actionable Toolkit that explained the activities that social influencers can take to support Covid vaccination. The webinar encouraged social media influencers to participate as advocates for Covid-19.

By amplifying and sharing correct and reliable info so they can help combat vaccination hesitancy and misinformation. With over 160 million monthly active users in India, ShareChat allows users to express their thoughts, film their lives, and meet new people – all in their mother tongue.

Moj has emerged as the market leader in the Indian short video industry, with the greatest monthly active user base.
