Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad and Ashram are doing wonderful work for the tribals. Tribal society is our integral part. This is a wonderful society.

Chouhan was inaugurating the building of Educational and Multipurpose Skill Development Center located at MP Nagar of Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad, Bhopal. Chouhan also unveiled the statue of Tantya Mama in the campus.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government is committed for the welfare of the tribals. PESA Act has been implemented in the state with social harmony. Statues of all our tribal heroes are being installed. Recently the statue of Tantya Mama has been installed in Bhanwarkuan, Indore. Conspiracy regarding religious conversion will not be allowed to run on state’s land. Tribal land will not be allowed to be grabbed by conspiracy.

Chouhan said that the tribal society is being empowered by implementing the PESA Act in the state. The right has been given for the produce of the forest along with the land. If someone is taken out for wages, then the Gram Sabha will have to be informed. Many similar powers have been given to the Gram Sabha. To implement the PESA Act, co-operation of Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad and Ashram is required. Social, economic, educational empowerment is being done. The help given by Indian Oil will utilised efficiently. If the government and society work together, better success will be achieved. Chouhan expressed gratitude to Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad and Ashram.

General Secretary of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Yogesh Bapat said the building is being inaugurated to take forward the tribal society. Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad has been working for 70 years. Tribal heroes have made invaluable contribution in the freedom struggle, which is being brought to the fore by the Tribal Welfare Council. The work of educational and skill development of tribals is going on all over the country. Inspirational activities are going on for this.

General Manager Indian Oil Shashi Chowdhary said that the company is doing many works in Madhya Pradesh with the CSR fund. In this episode, help has been given for this educational and multipurpose skill development center.

Chairman National Tribal Commission Harsh Chauhan said Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is unique not only in the country but in the world. It is working for the all round development of the tribes. Kalyan Ashram is the medium to remove confusion in the society. Programmes have been done in various universities through the commission. Students are inspired to do research on tribal subjects. Awareness programmes are also being done through exhibitions. Self-employment and skill training will also be available in the center as per the requirement.
