Taking stern action, the Khargone district administration today demolished shops and houses illegally constructed by over 45 accused persons identified of pelted stones on the Ram Navami procession followed by indicents of arson, the reports said.

Indore Divisional Commissioner Pawan Sharma told local reporters that some 84 persons were arrested and 50 illegal constructions the accused is identified. The demolition of the illegal constructions is initiated.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said the government will dealt the rioters with iron hand involved in stone pelting on the Ram Navami procession followed by incident of arson.

He said there is no place for rioters in the state. Chouhan said if the rioters are identified than stern action will be taken against them.

Chief Minister Chouhan has said the damage caused to the public and private properties will be recovered from the rioters.

The Khargone district administration has imposed curfew in three areas in the city after incident of stones pelting on the Ram Navami procession followed by incidents of vehicles set on fire on Sunday.

In the incident few cops and some people were injured.

The curfew was imposed in three areas including Talab Chowk and Tavdi in the city after the incidents of arson occurred following stones pelted on the procession, according to the reports.

The police have to use tear gas to control the situation.

The district collector Khargone issued prohibitory orders imposition of section 144 of CrPC where any assembly of four person or above is banned.
