The BCCI announced a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh to the chief coach of the Under-19 World Cup winner Indian team Rahul Dravid and Rs 30 lakh each for each player. The remaining members of the cooperative staff were fielding coach Abhay Sharma and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey announced for a cash reward of 20-20 lakhs.

For the first time, under the guidance of the CoA, the BCCI decided to give the highest prize to the chief coach. A senior officer said about this: “India is famous for the Guru’s disciple tradition and the guru always gets more. The height of the coach is very important.
