Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Vikas Yatra will end at village Baktra in Sehore district. An approval of Rs 470 crore will be given for the development works under the programme. The concluding program of the Vikas Yatra should be systematic and better. Also, maximum presence of local citizens should be ensured.

Chouhan was reviewing the development journey from Chief Minister’s residence office Samatva Bhavan today. He said that the concluding program should be held with joy and happiness. The Chief Minister also discussed with the District Collector and the local people about the preparations for the closing ceremony. The villagers also put forth several suggestions regarding the development of Baktra village, including opening of CM Rise School, Hospital and making Baktra a Nagar Panchayat. The Chief Minister talked about taking a decision considering all the suggestions.

Collector Sehore said that 66 gram panchayats will participate in the concluding program on February 26 in Baktra. All the necessary preparations for the program are going on. Mal Singh, Commissioner of Bhopal Division was also present.

It is noteworthy that as per the instructions of Chouhan, Vikas Yatras were started in the state from February 5-Sant Ravidas Jayanti. During the Mukhyamantri Jan-Seva Abhiyan, distribution of acceptance letters in various central and state schemes, identification of beneficiaries deprived of the benefits of schemes, inauguration of development works and distribution of benefits along with Bhoomi Pujan are being done. . Many innovations for public welfare and public participation are also being done in many districts.
