The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the welfare schemes are providing relief to people at large.

Chouhan was addressing a programme organized at Hotel Taj Lake Front on the occasion of the launch of regional channel focused on Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh by national TV channel NDTV.

Chouhan congratulated the NDTV management for starting the regional channel in the state.

He said that it is expected to give a place to the positive activities of the society.

The Chief Minister said that several schemes including Ladli Lakshmi and Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana are designed to ensure women’s empowerment. Special attention has been paid to irrigation sector. Many innovations have taken place in the financial sector and employment opportunities have been created.

Chouhan also informed about the Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana. Discussing the law and order situation, Chouhan said that our government will take culprits to the task and reward law-abiding citizen.
