Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that every region of the state including Malwa is being developed rapidly. Simultaneously public welfare works are being done continuously. Basic facilities like roads, electricity, water and irrigation have been strengthened in the state. Dedication-foundation stone is being laid of loads of development works in the entire state. Fulfilling the long-awaited demand of Nagda area, it will be made a district and prompt action will be taken for this. Those tehsils of Ujjain district who voluntarily want to be merged in Nagda, will be included in Nagda. Unhel will be made Tehsil and Community Health Center will be established here. Along with Kshipra, the water of Narmada will be diverted to Gambhir and Kalisindh rivers. The entire Malwa will be transformed into lush green land. The water of Narmada river will also be brought to Nagda. I will never forget the love and blessings given by the people of Nagda here today.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a huge public gathering during the Vikas Parv in Nagda today. He performed bhoomi-pujan/dedicated development works worth a total of Rs 261 crore 14 lakh. These include dedication of development works worth Rs 92 crore 15 lakh and bhoomi-pujan of development works worth Rs 168 crore 42 lakh. The Chief Minister distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes. The programme began with kanya pujan.

While Chief Minister Chouhan addressing the masses, said that he is a brother for his sisters, mama for children and son for the elderly. I am not just the Chief Minister nor are you the public. I am a member of your family and I am always worried about you. A campaign to change the lives of sisters is going on in the state. The amount given to sisters under Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana is not actually money, it is their self-respect, their right. It is a gift from a brother to his sisters. This amount will be increased to Rs.3000 in future. Through the Livelihood Mission, work is being done to increase the income of every sister to at least Rs 10,000 per month.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the previous government had stopped many public welfare schemes. Nutrition-diet allowance for special backward tribes, Sambal Yojana, laptop distribution to meritorious children, Teerth Darshan Yojana for the elderly, crop loans to farmers at zero percent interest, etc. were stopped. Our government has re-started all these schemes.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that basic services like roads, water, electricity and irrigation are being strengthened in the state. Today, there are quality roads in the state, continuous power supply and the work of providing tap water to every house is being ensured. The area under irrigation has been increased from 7 lakh hectare to 45 lakh hectare, which is targeted to be increased to 65 lakh hectare in future. Earlier 2800 MW electricity was generated, now 28 thousand MW electricity is produced. Schemes like free ration, housing for all, Ujjwala gas, Ayushman card are being implemented for public welfare.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mama worries about the children. Every necessary facility is being given to the children for their education. High quality schools, tuition fees, books, uniforms, mid-day meals etc. all facilities are being provided. CM Rise School is equipped with all modern educational facilities. Cycles, laptops to meritorious students and scooties to toppers are being given when they go to study in another village. Mama is also getting the expensive fees of higher education paid.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that huge employment opportunities have been created in the state. The process of recruitment for one lakh government posts is going on and in future recruitment of 50 thousand more posts will be conducted. For self-employment, the government provides loans on its guarantee. Now the Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana has been started for the 12th pass youth. Women of self-help groups will now also run toll nakas. Toll with an annual income of up to two crores will be given to them for operation, in which sisters with an income of one lakh will get Rs 30,000.
