MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a public meeting in Surkhi of Sagar district that a government college will be started in Surkhi. Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working in the interest of farmers, housewives and students.

While farmers are being provided loan facility at zero percent interest and benefits of Kisan Samman Nidhi, work has been done to provide LPG cylinders at Rs 450 in the interest of housewives. More than 1.25 crore sisters of the state are benefitting from the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, he said.

Chouhan welcomed Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar present in the programme.

Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput, public representatives and citizens of Sagar district were present in the programme.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that a scooty will be provided to a son and a daughter who have scored the highest marks in Higher Secondary, amount will be provided for laptop to the students who have scored more than 75 percent marks and an amount of Rs 4,500 will be given for a bicycle to students in class 6th and 9th. In the interest of poor families, free ration and treatment facilities have been provided through Ayushman card.

Prime Minister Modi has left no stone unturned for the welfare of the poor. Madhya Pradesh government is ensuring availability of all basic necessities in public interest.

CM Chouhan said that the state government has always been concerned about the interests of the farmers. The previous government had discontinued the transformer subsidy scheme. Now this scheme will be resumed.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the families who have grown and do not have their own land to live in will be benefitted from the new housing scheme. Families who were left out of availing the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Awas Plus will get the benefit of the new scheme. Each family will get their own piece of land. In the past, beneficiaries have also been benefitted through the Mukhyamantri Bhu-awasiya Adhikar Yojana. Now no family in the state will live in a broken hut.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government has done unprecedented work in the field of irrigation as well as construction of roads and power supply as compared to the previous government. The previous government had discontinued many welfare schemes, which have been restarted and given momentum. Elderly people are being taken on pilgrimage by air as well as by rail.
