Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said under the new National Education Policy-2020, there is no need for the colleges to take prior no objection certificate from the Higher Education department to start job oriented courses.

Dr. Yadav was speaking in the departmental review meeting on Tuesday.

Minister Dr. Yadav said for the starting employment-oriented courses in colleges, if there is an ordinance for specific courses in the universities where the college is affiliated than the no objection certificate will be issued by the Commissioner of Higher Education as per rules. The course can be started with prior permission from the central regulatory institutions and affiliation from the concerned university.

Additional Chief Secretary Shailendra Singh informed the courses in Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fashion Technology, Agriculture, Engineering and such other employable fields can be conducted on self-financing basis in colleges affiliated to universities under Higher Education Department.

Singh said in the context of National Education Policy-2020, 82 subject integrated courses have been prepared in Hindi and English language for the first and second year of graduation.

The e-content has also been made available to the students in Hindi and English languages ​​from the departmental portal. He said that in the academic session 2022-23, mainly 10 new vocational courses are being constructed on the recommendation of the Industries Department, the official note said.

Commissioner Higher Education Deepak Singh informed the functions under Azadi ka Amrut Utsav will be organize at revenue division level.

While the state level program will be done in Bhopal.

He said the NSS/NCC has been included as a curriculum in the National Education Policy.

The practical training will also be necessary in this.

The NSS, NCC training will be given to the professors.

He informed at present 1.53 lakh volunteers are available in the state, out of which 1753 units are running in higher education institutions and higher secondary schools of the state.

Singh informed a proposal to create 250 additional units is sent by the Higher Education Department to the Government of India for the expansion of NSS.
