The forest department was taken by surprise on received information about a villager got injured on accidently hit his axe on a fruit laying under a tree that exploded like a bomb making sound and create smoke in village Umedada, in Barwani district.

Later on verification by the forest department it was found the fruit was in fact a small sized country-made bomb.

The forest officials told local reporters that the shape of the country-made bomb resembled like a Hingot fruit.

On due verification it was found that some person might had thrown few country-made bombs under the tree roadside in the village, they said.

A villager Shantilal working in the farm accidentally hit his axe on it which exploded sustaining injury on his left hand.

The family members reported the matter to the local authorities about explosion of the fruit like fire crackers.

The local authorities took help of the forest department to find out the fact as there was no known tree in Madhya Pradesh that bear fruits which explodes like a fire cracker.

The forest officials searched the entire area for hours to find out tree that bear fruit which explode like fire cracker.

The forest officials also took help of the scientists of State Forest Research Institute Jabalpur to find out any such tree available in the Madhya Pradesh. Sources said the scientists after taken glance of the pictures send by the forest officials found it look like a Hingot fruit locally known as Dronapushpi or Hinguputra is used for medicinal purpose.

During examination the forest officials put the fruit in water and found the outer covering got open and a few quantity of explosive was found wrapped inside tied with rope (rassi).
