A Delhi court released a non-bailable warrant against Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar and others involved in the case days after a 23-year-old wrestler died in a deadly brawl outside New Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium. ANI, a news agency, reported the progress.

According to sources, the wrestler was engaged in a lethal confrontation with his friends earlier this month over a fight with the deceased, who was staying at his home near the arena.

The deceased, identified as Sagar Rana, was the son of a Delhi Police Head Constable, according to reports.

Sushil had previously denied any involvement in the altercation, claiming that the individuals involved in the brawl were unknown to him.

The Olympic medalist, though, has been missing since then, prompting the police to issue a Look-out-Circular (LoC) against him.

The other victims of the altercation also gave statements to Delhi Police, alleging that Sushil was involved in the attack.

The Olympic medalist is hiding in an ashram in Haridwar, according to a storey in the Hindi daily Dainik Jagran.

During the inquiry, the police have discovered a filmed video of the incident on the phone of accused Prince Dalal, which shows the faces of all the attackers.

We served notice to him after filing a FIR, but he turned off his phone and has been untraceable since. We have raided his mates’ homes, and now we’ve agreed to provide a reward for details leading to his capture, and a file has been presented to senior officers, according to police sources.

During a brawl in the parking lot of the Chhatrasal Stadium, Sagar Rana was battered to death. Kumar was charged with murder, kidnapping, and criminal conspiracy after the incident.

Sagar Rana, who competed in the 97-kg Greco-Roman division, was killed in a battle between two parties on May 4. Rana is a senior national camp participant and a recent junior national winner. “We discovered during our investigation that a quarrel allegedly took place in the stadium parking lot between Sushil Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others,” Sidhu said.
