Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told told that today is a lucky day for the women of Khargone.

Their brother has come to meet them. There is no discrimination between son and daughter in Khargone, but this is not elsewhere, he said.

When I saw how my sisters were faing inequality, I tried to get them an equal status at par with men, he said.

We introduced the Ladli Laxmi Yojana, then launched the Kanya Vivah Yojana to reduce the burden of expenses of parents for their marriage, he said. 

After this, now I have implemented Ladli Bahna Yojana with the aim of helping my sisters to improve their economic condition and to meet their small needs. Be it Devrani or Jethani or Manjali or Sanjali, everyone will be given Rs. one thousand every month in the scheme.

In this way your brother will be with his sisters throughout the year. Chouhan was addressing the Ladli Bahna Yojana and PESA rules awareness conference at Anakwadi in Khargone district today.

State government will make certificates, applications will be filled from March 25

Chouhan said that my sisters will not have to wander anywhere to fill the applications of Ladli Bahna Yojana. From March 25, applications will be filled in every ward of villages and cities.

Chouhan said that till the application of each and every eligible woman of the village is not filled, the camp will continue in that village. Forms will be filled by April, verification will be done in May and money will come into the account from June 10.

Treatment will be provided to Kanika and Divyansh and Manoj will set up industry

In the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan honoured the officers and employees who did excellent work. He also handed over the benefit acceptance letters to various beneficiaries. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave approval of Rs 1.41 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh respectively for the treatment of Kanika and Divyansh under Mukhya Mantri Bal Hriday Upchar Yojana.

Apart from this, an acceptance letter of Rs. 86 lakh 40 thousand was given to the Tribal Fisheries Cooperative Society of Bhagwanpura.

Chief Minister Chouhan gave an approval letter of Rs. 10 lakh to Shri Manoj Prajapati for setting up an industry under the Prime Minister Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme. Along with this, Salitabai of Piplyabawdi was provided acceptance letter of Rs. 3 lakh in Kisan Credit Card scheme, Rs. 2 lakh Anugraha assistance to Reshmibai Balu, Rs. 418 lakh 53 thousand to Smt. Premlata Chauhan for bank linkage of 155 self-help groups, Rs. 2 lakh to Chandrakant Jain for setting up self-employment of garam masala, Rs. 20 thousand for state civil service incentive to Pushpa Sanwle, Rs. 1 lakh 70 thousand to Bhuwan Singh Sisodia under Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme and Rs. 2 lakh 50 thousand was given to Ajay Yadav of Banher for wrapper cum binder.

Chouhan was presented a cheque of Rs. 87 lakh as share capital of the bank by the Managing Director of District Cooperative Bank Rajendra Acharya.

Chouhan gave a citation to Bhagwanpura Janpad CEO Pawan Shah for doing excellent work in the schemes run under rural development.

Certificate of Appreciation was handed over to Employment Assistant of Village Panchayat Thibgaon Bujurg Mahendra Yadav for tree plantation work and Patwari of Bhagwanpura Tehsil Yogesh Patidar for cent percent work in CM Helpline, Land Record Linking, CM Farmer Verification and 98 percent in e-KYC.

Chouhan inaugurated development works worth Rs. 68 crore 77 lakh and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs. 171 crore 40 lakh.

Local Member of Parliament Gajendra Singh Patel put forward proposals including renaming of Bistan lift irrigation project as saint Bondru baba, grant of tehsil status to Bistan, upgradation of high school of Shrikhandi village to higher secondary, installation of statue of Raghunath Mandloi at Barud, among others.

Overview of Development Exhibition

Chouhan had a look at the exhibitions of various departments and performed Kanya Pujan at the venue.

The Chief Minister also played the drum gifted by the Banjara Samaj. The sisters of the Chief Minister’s livelihood group offered him 51 kg garland and Gujarati turban. The sisters of the livelihood mission also tied a 2 meter long rakhi to Chief Minister Chouhan.

Former State Agriculture Minister Balkrishna Patidar, former MLAs Babulal Mahajan, Atmaram Patel, Dhul Singh Davar and District Panchayat Vice President Bapusingh Parihar, Khargone Municipality President Chhaya Joshi, Vice President Bholu Karma and other public representatives and senior administrative officers were present in the programme.
