There’s a caution for the Android developer who has some apps on the Google Play Store. In a recent release, Google indicated that if an account is inactive or hasn’t been updated in a long time, it will be closed.

The rule will get into effect on September 1, 2021, for the IT giant. “This includes accounts where the developer has never uploaded an app or viewed Google Play Console in the last year,” Google explained.

Google also stated that accounts with actively growing apps in the store with 1000+ installs or in-app purchases in the last 90 days will not be closed.

Developers whose accounts have been closed as a result of the new policy change will be able to establish a new account. But the old account, data, or apps will not be restored.

In addition, Google has included the Accessibility Service API. It is an Accessibility Tool, which will aid in the access of user data and device functionality.

“It’s critical for users to have a secure and accessible experience.
As a result, we’ve added new requirements for how to utilize the Accessibility Service API and Is Accessibility Tool. These tools aid in the creation of accessible experiences, which frequently necessitate the utilization of user data and device capability.

All apps that use the AccessibilityService API will now be required to disclose data access and purpose in Google Play Console and receive approval,” Google explained.
