Governor Mangubhai Patel participated in the local programme of redevelopment of railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through virtually here today

The programme was organised at Sant Hirda Ram Nagar Bhopal. Live telecast of Amrit Bharat Station Yojana foundation stone programme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was specially arranged.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment works of Amrit Bharat station scheme through virtually and gave address through video conferencing.

Addressing the local programme, Governor Mangubhai Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a basketful gifts in the form of redevelopment of railway stations.

The Governor described it as the first incident in which the foundation stone has been laid for the redevelopment of as many as 508 railway stations worth Rs. 25 thousand crore. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister as a representative of all the people of Madhya Pradesh for this.

He said that all the works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme should be timely completed maintaining high quality. Local art and culture should be given space in beautification of stations. Along with ensuring the facility of pedestrian path, parking and smooth traffic, arrangements must positively be made for continuous monitoring of the facilities of the passengers. Along with special toilets, ramps, etc., arrangements for the proper care of the disabled persons should be made at the railway station.

Governor Patel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has taken historical decisions. He has speeded up the development of the country. He has earned a distinct identity in the world as a popular politician of the world’s largest democracy. Under his leadership, India is playing a leading role in solving global challenges with the chairmanship of G-20. He said that it is a matter of pride that under the leadership of Modi ji, the government is working for the welfare and satisfaction of every family.

The Governor said that the Indian Railways is the best rail network in the world. He said that 11 percent electrification of railway tracks has been done in 11 states of the country including Madhya Pradesh, 6 thousand railway stations have Wi-Fi. Apart from redressal of complaints using technology, rail passenger facility has been equipped with Made in India Kavach system. Self-employment opportunities have been made available to lakhs of people by opening more than 600 outlets of artisans’ clothes, art pieces, paintings, utensils etc. at railway stations in the country through the One Station-One Product scheme. School children were awarded by the Governor on the occasion.

MLA Rameshwar Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cares people a lot. Their needs are being fulfilled in no time.

He expressed gratitude for the gift of making world class railway stations. He said that Modi ji’s government has named the railway station as Sant Hirda Ram Nagar, respecting the sentiments of the people.
