Congress President Rahul Gandhi, said that demonetisation was a really bad initiative for the country. On Saturday he told this to a gathering of Indian diaspora that how he would have implemented demonetisation.

On Friday, the Congress president Rahul Gandhi met Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and had discussions over a wide range of topics related to India-Singapore ties.

He was speaking to an audience in Malaysia. When asked a question about the note ban he told about how he would have rolled out the note ban.

“If I was the Prime Minister, and someone had given me a file with demonetisation written on it, I would have thrown it in the dustbin,” exclaimed Gandhi.

“Out through the door and into the junkyard, because that’s what I think should be done with demonetisation,” he added.
