New Delhi: After a hole of 10 years there will be no Iftar festivities at the Rashtrapati Bhavan as President Ram Nath Kovind won’t have an Iftar get-together this year at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Iftar parties have been customarily facilitated at the Rashtrapati Bhavan with the exception of amid the residency of APJ Abdul Kalam, who was the president from 2002-2007. Iftar is the breaking of the ‘roza’ (quick) that is seen by the Muslims amid the long stretch of Ramzan.

“After the President assumed control office, he chose there would be no religious festivals or observances in an open building, for example, Rashtrapati Bhavan on citizen cost.
