The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh researchers developed a new tool, which checks the tax GST being imposed by the government on products and provides information to the customers. This enables the customers on how much tax is to pay to the government on the products one is purchasing.

Under the guidance of Professor Shailendra Singh Bhadauria, Head of the Department of Commerce, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, his researchers Amit Gupta and Aditi Saraogi have together developed a new tool, which checks the tax GST being imposed by the government and provides information to the customers.

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Vice Chancellor Professor Shriprakash Mani Tripathi, greeted the head of the Department of Commerce, Professor Shailendra Singh Bhadauria and research scholars.

On the occasion, he said that understanding of GST has to be increased among the general public.

It would be extremely useful if it (GST) is explained in simple language, he said.

I have full confidence that the equipment developed by the Department of Commerce of our University and its students will prove to be extremely useful not only for the general public but also for the Government, he hoped.

On this occasion, Professor Bhadauria said that this device presents a new way for the common citizens to understand the GST prices. The algorithm on which we are working has been registered in the Patent Office of the Government of India.
