Ahimsa Run and Run for Democracy created history in Sanskardhani – Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, the message of Live and Let Live echoed – with participation of over 25 thousand people on Sunday.

Ahimsa Run was organized simultaneously at 67 places in India including Jabalpur and 28 places abroad.

The members of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) giving message to the society to march on the path of non-violence.

JITO a multi stakeholders organisation within Jain community including industrialists, businessmen and professionals.

The event already got recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records.

The Ahimsa Run participated by families, children of all ages, genders and communities held on the eve of birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir spreading message of Live and Let Live.

The Ahimsa (Non-Violence) Run was given momentum by adopting the timeless message of Lord Vardhaman Mahavir Swami, the twenty-fourth Tirthankara of Jainism, ‘Live and let live’.

Apart from message of non violence, other message was to strengthen the democracy by participating in the voting.

Large number of people gathered at Kamamiya Gate in the morning to participate in the run. Officials and members of Jain International Trade Organization, citizens of every religion, age group, women, men, children and youth of Jabalpur gathered.

Jabalpur District Collector Deepak Saxena, Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh, CEO District Panchayat Jayati Singh, Municipal Commissioner Prati Yadav too participated in the run.

Ahimsa Run was organized in coordination with the Jabalpur District Administration, Municipal Corporation and JITO.

Under the leadership of JITO Zonal Chairman MP, Chhattisgarh Chaudhary Subodh Jain, Chapter Chairman Rajesh Jain, Secretary Rahul Badkul, JITO and Youth Wing team assured more participate in this run than last year.

The route of the run was started from the Kamania Gate and crossed through Bada Phuhara, Khajanchi Chowk, Tularam Chowk, Karamchand Chowk, Teen Patti, Malviya Chowk, Lordganj police station

JITO Youth Wing’s Ankit Jain and CA Mayank Singhai said that it was important to see that the thousands of talents in the society took pledge promise of Non-Violence, Strengthening Democracy (Ahimsa ka wada, Loktantra ka irada).

Convenors Ashish Kothari, Sanjeev Chaudhary, Shailesh Jain said that Jabalpur has shown strength today, now we have to make Jabalpur number one in India in voting in Lok Sabha elections.

While honoring the disabled participants, Pawan Samdaria while congratulating said that their courage is commendable.

People of all religions, sects, castes and classes came together: The specialty of the Ahimsa Run was that it included participants from various organizations, temple trusts and distinguished citizens of the entire Jain community as well as people of all other religions, sects, castes and classes without any discrimination.

JITO Jabalpur Chapter Chairman Rajesh Jain Raymond, Chief Secretary Rahul Badkul, Treasurer CA Manish Kaushal, Zonal Chairman Chaudhary Subodh Jain, Chief Coordinator Dr. Vimal Kumar Jain, Nishith Jain, Mulkraj Jain Badsha, Sanjay Jain, Manish Mangalam, Bhanu Jain, Rajneet and Nitin Jain Gyanganga, Pradyan Singhai, Jayesh Gala and Prabhakar Jain, Pinky Jain, Dr Ajay Bhandari, Pawan Samdaria, Sandesh Jain, Chirag Gala motivated the residents for their participation in the run.

JITO Women’s Wing President Preeti Jain and Vineeta Badkul and Mukta Jain told that this run was conceptualized by Jeeto Ladies Wing which got full support from the Youth Wing.

A large number of disabled people participate in the Ahimsa Run

Disabled people also participated, some were completing the race on their three wheeler while some hearing impaired children dance on the tune of music.
All the disabled people were honored with cash prizes by JITO and Yuvraj Garhwal. Contestants from America and those coming from other cities of India participate in the run.

Chairman of Jain International Trade Organization, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Subodh Jain thanked the district administration and municipal corporation for their participation in the event.
