Three Soldiers were Martyred in the avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir high mountain areas Friday.

The body of the three soldiers has been taken away from the ice. Army officials said heavy snowfall and avalanches took place in Machhal sector of Kupwara district on Friday. There were many checkpoints in the grip of snow. Three army personnel deployed on a checkpoint and several feet buried under ice. Later, the army launched its campaign and sent its other soldiers to safer places. Later, bodies of the missing Soldiers were found in the snow.

Four jawans
Were attacked by the snow and were missing in the avalanche. During the operation, a young man was rescued while one died on the spot. Two other soldiers died in the hospital. A young man is being treated at the hospital and he is being told out of danger. The dead included Hav Kamlesh Singh, Nayak Balvir and Sepoy Rajendra.

The government agency issued a warning of avalanches in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir. This step was taken after the tremor of several parts in north India after a severe earthquake of 6.12 in Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.
