Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the state, strict regulations are being imposed. From April 20th onwards, there will be a night curfew. Between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., public transportation is available.

The government has also agreed to hold the ‘Trishur Pooram’ without public involvement, meaning that the ritual rituals of the Pooram will take place as usual, but spectators will not be permitted to observe the festivities near the temple.

New rules for all visitors entering the state have been implemented, making the RT-PCR exam a requirement for all visitors.

When the number of Covid cases reached an all-time high of 18,250 cases on April 18, the decision was made. Domestic visitors to the state will be required to take RT-PCR tests 48 hours before or after their arrival.

The health department released an order requiring all travelers, regardless of vaccine status, to take the Covid-19 exam. On Sunday, the state’s test positivity score reached 16.25 percent.

According to the government order, those who undergo RT-PCR tests upon arrival will be placed in room isolation at their respective lodgings before the RT-PCR report is available. If the RT-PCR test is negative, the individual must adhere to the Covid protocol during their stay in the state, which includes uniform masking, safe distancing, and hand hygiene.

Those who refuse to take the test must stay in room isolation for 14 days from the date of entry into Kerala and keep track of their symptoms.

PSC Exams have been postponed indefinitely

At the same time, written exams and interviews scheduled by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) from April 20 to April 30 have been postponed indefinitely.

Meanwhile, in the midst of a sharp increase in Covid-19 infections, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has directed all vice-chancellors of the state’s universities to postpone all offline university exams scheduled to begin tomorrow.
