Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said that Madhya Pradesh has stood first in cleanliness. While staying ahead in development, it is important to note that Madhya Pradesh would be brought in top three states. It is currently among top 10 states.

Prime Minister Shri Modi addressed a public meeting at Gwalior’s Mela Ground today. He inaugurated and laid the foundation for several development projects in Madhya Pradesh valuing at Rs. 19 thousand crores.

Shri Modi said that with modern infrastructure and good law and order, development becomes faster in every sector. There was a time when Madhya Pradesh, especially the Gwalior-Chambal region was known for crime and corruption. Now, life is comfortable here. The path to progress has become easier. In the social sector as well, development is being witnessed. The government has resolved people’s issues and strengthened their voice assuring them social justice. Today’s youth have not seen the difficult times, they have seen the progressing Madhya Pradesh.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Gwalior region, which has given many revolutionaries to the country, is a source of inspiration. Patriots from this region dedicated themselves to the service of the nation. Nearly two lakh beneficiaries have been fortunate enough to have their homes before Diwali and Dhanteras from this land. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that new job opportunities will open up for the youth. Soon, India will be included in the top three economies in the world, he added.

Houses of dreams

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the Central Government has ensured the well-being of the people in every region. About four crore people have received their own homes. In Madhya Pradesh, lakhs of people have got the opportunity to fulfill their dream of having their own house. The important thing in housing construction is that the beneficiary gets the opportunity to build a house according to their dreams.

As the construction of houses is completed, the work of depositing money in the account of the beneficiary has become easier. Along with these houses, toilet facilities, electricity, Ujjwala gas connection, and the benefit of water through pipelines are also being provided. The registration of houses in the Prime Minister’s housing scheme is mostly in the names of women. It should be hoped that after coming to these houses, all families will educate their children and give them skills.

Guarantee to bring Madhya Pradesh to the top in development

Shri Modi said that today, the foundation stone is being laid for new projects in various places across the state, including the Gwalior region. While the Vikrampuri Industrial Township has been inaugurated in Ujjain, the foundation stone for the Multi-Model Logistics Park in Indore has also been laid.

In addition, the inauguration of a 244-kilometer stretch of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, the Malanpur Bottling Plant of the Indian Oil Corporation, and additional services at the Ratlam Terminal of the Indian Oil Corporation are of great significance.

Groundbreaking ceremonies have also taken place for road projects such as Raghavgarh-Indore-Harda, Bakaner Ghat construction, Jeerapur-Pachor, Astha Bypass, and Khilchipur Bypass. Along with this, the inauguration of the academic building, hostel building, and lab complex at IIT Indore will benefit the students. Prime Minister Shri Modi described the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Gwalior and Shivpuri districts as an important gift for this region.

New Initiatives in Healthcare Sector

Prime Minister Shri Modi mentioned that the foundation stone has been laid for the construction of Critical Care Health Blocks with a capacity of 50 beds each in various places, including Vidisha Medical College. This will provide citizens with better healthcare facilities.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Prime Minister Shri Modi lives in people’s hearts and the most popular leader in the world. Today, Modi ji is realizing Gandhi ji’s dreams. Today is Shastri Jayanti, and Shastri ji had called upon citizens to observe a day of fasting during the time of food scarcity in the country. Today, the country’s food reserves are full. Madhya Pradesh is a state that exports 22 lakh tons of wheat. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, a prosperous, powerful, and prestigious India is being built. Development is flowing in all directions. During the time of COVID, India administered 200 crore vaccine doses, performing a miracle. Several schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, are benefiting the people.

Shri Chouhan said that significant progress has been made in the areas of roads, electricity, drinking water, and irrigation in the last 20 years. The Ken-Betwa project with a cost of 44,000 crore rupees, which will give a new direction to the state’s development, has been approved. Prime Minister has given attention to the welfare of the poor. More than 35 lakh houses have been built in the housing scheme in Madhya Pradesh. Land title for residential purpose is being given to the needy, making them landowners.

In Madhya Pradesh, more than 65 lakh families have been provided with water supply through pipelines so that the daughters of the state do not have to go far from home to fetch water. This facility will be available in all homes in the next two and a half years. Madhya Pradesh is rapidly progressing on the path of development. Madhya Pradesh is no longer backward.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Memu train service from Gwalior to Sumavali by showing a green flag at the historic city of Gwalior’s fairground. The construction of this new rail route, approximately 48 kilometers long, was done at a cost of 411 crores and is part of the broad-gauge railway line under construction from Gwalior to Shivpuri.

During the program, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan presented Prime Minister Shri Modi with a small statue of Tansen and a colorful painting from the renowned Maratha style of painting called Chiteravali, which is a traditional art form in Gwalior.

Prime Minister Shri Modi also received a warm welcome from Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the sacred land of Gwalior, He was presented a smal size statue of the music maestro Tansen and a vibrant painting in the Chiteravali art style, created by the famous sculptor Shri Deepak Varma of Gwalior.

This art form, Chiteravali, is a significant part of Gwalior’s culture and has been practiced since 1657. It is still depicted in the Moti Mahal of Gwalior, where it was first created in 1757.

Prime Minister Shri Modi was accompanied by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP Shri V.D. Sharma. Union Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister Shri Virendra Singh, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Khajuraho MP Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma and state government ministers like Narottam Mishra, Gopal Bhargava, and others, were present.
