A Maoist officer was killed in an experience with security work force in Narayanpur area of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar locale on Monday, authorities said.

Narayanpur police said that the experience began at around 11.30 am in the woods of Bahker under Chhotedongar police headquarters limits when a group of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was out on a space control activity.

“The DRG group had some insight inputs about the presence of a little group of Maoists close to Amdai Ghati iron mineral mining region. The DRG group cordoned off the space and abruptly Maoists began terminating. The security powers drew in them in the gunfight which went on for a couple of moments and later a group of Maoist was found from the spot alongside an AK-47 rifle,” said a senior cop.

Different Maoists escaped from the spot after and got away into the wildernesses.
