Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings of Peepal, Kachnar and Cassia Samia at Water Vision Garden located in Shyamla Hills. Along with CM Chouhan, senior journalist Pankaj Shukla planted saplings on the birthday of his 6-year-old son Devdhar. His wife Kavita Shukla and son Devdhar were also with him. CM Chouhan greeted boy Devdhar on his birthday.

Along with Chief Minister Chouhan, members of the voluntary organisation Natrajan Group also planted saplings. Divya Wadhwani of the group expressed gratitude to CM Chouhan for giving her a laptop by the state government under the Medhavi Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana. Divya is currently working with Tata Consultancy Services. Divya said that the encouragement she received in the form of a laptop led her to pursue a career in information technology. Gagan Wadhwani, Anshu Patel, Om Tomar, Dheeraj and Khushi Gandharva, Ichha Vishwakarma, Saloni Kushwaha, Tanisha Yadav and Rupali Bansal from Natrajan Group also participated in the plantation. Along with CM Chouhan, social worker and former corporator Shankar Mukoria also planted a sapling on his birthday.
