Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled the statue of Meharban Singh Rawat in Mangrol district of Morena. The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed bhoomi-pujan of development works worth Rs 66 crore 47 lakh.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Late Rawat was an amazing and enduring leader. He was also the first panch, sarpanch and president of Meena Samaj before MLA. He used to live for the development of Sabalgarh. The Chief Minister said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan will do the development works which were not done during his lifetime. He also announced to name the Higher Secondary School of Mangraul village after Meharwan Singh Rawat.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Bhoomi-pujan has been done for Chief Minister Rise School in Sabalgarh. The school will prove to be a boon for the sons and daughters of the poor and farmers. Better education will be given in the school than the greatest private schools. With school education, the sons and daughters of farmers and the poor will be able to reach higher positions as scientists, doctors, engineers and so on. Expressing happiness over the presence of a large number of sisters, the Chief Minister said that daughters are Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. Ladli Lakshmi and Ladli Bahna Yojana have been started for their welfare. We are empowering the sisters by depositing Rs 1000 in their accounts. 50 percent reservation has been given to the sisters. Recruitment is being done on 1 lakh posts in the state.

Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar said that late Rawat was a dedicated worker. We all should learn from his dedication and loyalty. Today, Chief Minister Chouhan has performed Bhoomi-Poojan of CM Rise School at a cost of Rs 40 crore, Semai to Vijaypur road at a cost of Rs 65 crore and Chantikheda Dam in Vijaipur today itself. The problem of irrigation and drinking water of Rampur will end with the dam.

Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that today we are Remembering late Rawat. He left an indelible mark during his lifetime among the masses. Sabalgarh has a blood relation with the Scindia family.

In the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, Union Ministers Tomar and Scindia performed Bhoomi-Pujan of Shri Rudra Mahayagya to be held at Mandi premises, Sabalgarh from July 31 to August 8. The guests felicitated Rawat’s wife Rekha Rawat with shawl and shrifal. Daughter-in-law Sarla Rawat Presented a picture of Late Rawat to the guests herself.

MLAs Sarvashri Suvedar Singh Rajaudha and Kamlesh Jatav, President of MP Agro Aidal Singh Kanshana, President of Energy Development Corporation Girraj Dandotia, District Panchayat President Aarti Gurjar and other public representatives and dignitaries were present.
