Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the work of installation of statue of Adi Shankaracharya at Omkareshwar should be completed by August 2023.

Review meetings should be held on weekly basis to maintain mutual co-ordination with all the departments and agencies and to avoid delay in obtaining permissions to complete the construction work of Advait Dham within the time limit.

Along with the construction of Advait Dham, Omkareshwar’s city master plan, cleanliness of the city, four-lane connectivity from Indore to Omkareshwar, cleanliness of Narmada river, beautification of the banks and Yatri Niwas should be implemented in a time-bound manner.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the review meeting of the Statue of Oneness project at Mantralaya. Culture Minister Usha Thakur, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Ajit Kesari, Principal Secretary Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary Public Works Sukhveer Singh were present along with officers of Culture Department and Construction Agency.

It was informed that Advait Dham is being constructed with the latest construction technology on the design developed by incorporating the architectural arts of North, South, East and West of the country. Progress made in the direction of installation of 108 feet tall statue and pedestal of Adi Shankaracharya, progress made in the direction of construction of Acharya Shankar Museum Complex, Acharya Shankar International Advaita Vedanta Sansthan, Advaita Van etc. was also presented.
