Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Germany and India shares historical, cultural and commercial ties.

The proposals made by the German delegation in the field of health, tourism and industry are welcome in Madhya Pradesh, he said.

A German delegation led by Prof. Dr. Mario Voigt met Chouhan on Tuesday. The delegation included Andras Beehl, Martin Henkel, Kristian Harragott, Christian Kalin, Christian Tichner and Johns Urbach.

Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla and Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Sanjay Shukla were present.

Chouhan said road map will be prepared and finalized in context to the proposal put up by the delegation.

He directed the senior officers of the Health, Tourism and Industries Department to work in coordination to prepare the road map.

The Chief Minister said that every effort should be made for what can be better in all the three areas.

The possibility of establishing a German center in Bhopal to increase trade and investment to work in areas of mutual interest was also discussed in the meeting.

Cultural, friendly contact, respect, mutual understanding and lasting friendship between the Germans and the residents of Madhya Pradesh and the agreement to promote tourism were discussed.
