MP Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said the controlled drainage of water is commenced from the under construction dam on Karam river in Dhar district on Sunday.

A canal was carved out to drain water from the under construction dam, he said.

The decision to drain the water from the dam reservoir was taken after leakage in the under construction dam structure, Mishra said.

Due to the leakage, 12 villages in Dhar and 6 villages in Khargone districts were vacated, he said.

The situation is the affected area is under control, he said.

About Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Mishra said on appeal from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the people from all walks of life are participating in the campaign and the tricolor can be seen hoisted on houses and shops, displayed on mobile phones.

Mishra said the recovery rate from COVID-19 in the state is 98.60 percent and the infection rate is 2.32 percent, currently there are 899 active cases.

In past 24 hours, 129 cases were detected positive and 182 persons recovered from the virus infection in the state, he said.
