Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that continuous efforts are being made to provide maximum opportunities of self-employment to all such people including youth who want to work for their livelihood. Every person seeking a respectable livelihood is entitled to it.

Efforts are also being made to provide employment to the people every month through Employment Day.

In this sequence, an important programme of employment day, industrial clusters, industrial area and foundation stone laying of incubation centers is being held at Budhni in Sehore district on September 29.

In this, bhoomi-pijan and dedication worth Rs 5521 crore 51 lakh are being done.

About 59 thousand persons will get the benefit of employment from these.

Chief Minister Chouhan today took a review meeting at his residence in connection with the preparations for the upcoming Employment Day on September 29 and the foundation stone laying programme of various MSME clusters.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Omprakash Sakhlecha, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and senior officers were present.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous work is being done by the State Government to promote employment generation. This has increased self-confidence in the youth.

Encouraging startups by making a separate policy has also boosted the morale of the youth.

Chief Minister Chouhan told the officers to ensure and keep constant vigil that the real needy beneficiaries are receiving the benefits of the schemes.

State wide Employment Day outline

There will be state level and district level programmes on Employment Day. In the state level programme to be held in Budhni, the foundation stone of 19 industrial clusters of 11 districts will be laid simultaneously and 3 industrial clusters, one industrial area, 2 incubation centers and one startup centre of 4 districts will also be dedicated.

Programmes will be held in different districts in the chief hospitality of the minister-in-charge and public representatives.

In the district level programme, along with laying of various foundation stones, loan sanction letters will also be provided to the beneficiaries.

Representatives of industrial associations, MSME entrepreneurs, prospective entrepreneurs and beneficiaries, startups and incubates, cluster developers will be the participants in the programme. Along with this, officials of the departments related to self-employment scheme and financial institutions including Bankers’ Committee will also participate.

Chief Minister Chouhan will provide loan sanction/disbursement letters to the selected beneficiaries under self-employment scheme.

Along with this, there will also be a dialogue with the cluster developers of the selected districts.

Progress of Self-Employment Schemes

The target of benefitting more than 2 lakh beneficiaries from various self-employment schemes is being fulfilled this month.

In the current financial year, more than 13 lakh beneficiaries have benefitted from employment schemes in the state.

Earlier, in the months of January to March also, about 11 lakh beneficiaries have been benefitted from various employment schemes.

In this way, the beneficiaries benefitting in this calendar year will be around 24 lakhs. Sanctions are also being given to provide employment to the beneficiaries in the Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva camps in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan received information from Collector, Sehore about the preparations for the camp to be held at Budhni on September 29.
