The Union Ministry of Power secretary Pankaj Agarwal has appreciated the schemes being run in the power sector of Madhya Pradesh for the benefit of electricity consumers and the development works being done under the RDSS scheme for strengthening the electricity system. 

He said that it is a unique initiative to get new connections at the homes of consumers within two and a half days through the simple connection portal of the Central Sector Power Distribution Company. 

He appreciated the information technology based system from survey to payment in RDSS scheme without human intervention. 

Agarwal was apprised of information and functions of IT applications and apps developed in-house by the company.

He inspected the Centralized Call Center 1912 and SCADA Control Center of the company located at the headquarters of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company. 

During the inspection, Agarwal observed the power supply being provided to the consumers, monitoring of tripping and faults, restoration process and monitoring arrangements as well as the process of recording and quick resolution of consumer complaints and SCADA control center and call center and appreciated the arrangement.

Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey, Managing Director of Central Region Power Distribution Company Ganesh Shankar Mishra along with officials of Madhya Kshetra Central Region Power Distribution Company were present.
