The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the Lokayukta to probe into allegations of amassing huge wealth levelled in a PIL against State Other Backward Classes Commission chairman, BJP MLA and ex-minister GS Bisen of Balaghat district, in Madhya Pradesh.

A division bench of Chief Justice R Malimath and Justice V Mishra disposed of a PIL that was treated as suo motu petition with direction to the Lokayukta to probe into the allegations.

The PIL was filed by ex-MLA Kishore Samrite from Lanji, Balaghat in year 2012 seeking action into the allegations against Bisen then a minister in the BJP state government amassed huge wealth between 1984 to 2012.

The court in June 2014, directed its Registry to sent a copy of the petition to the Lokayukta to inquire into the allegations.

Bisen aggrieved with the court direction filed a petition in the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court directed the high court to rehear the petition, the state government counsel said.
