Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Ramkishore ‘Nano’ Kawre called on Union Minister of State for Food Processing and Jal Shakti Prahlad Patel in New Delhi on Thursday.

He urged for early approval of the pending irrigation projects in Balaghat and Seoni districts.

Minister of State Kavre informed the Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti that approval is pending for expansion, renovation and modernization of canals in the Sanjay Sarovar project of Balaghat and Seoni districts.

He said that an action plan worth Rs 357 crore has been prepared and sent to the Central Jal Shakti Ministry earlier.

Minister of State Kavre said that the wastage of water can be stopped by getting the lining work done in the irrigation project.

Along with this, irrigation facility will be available in about 11 thousand hectares of additional land in Balaghat and Seoni districts and farmers of 300 nearby villages will be benefited.
