Under the Mukhyamantri Pashupalan Vikas Yojana, the state-level prize distribution ceremony of state’s original bovine breed and Indian advanced breed of milch cows will be held on May 28 at village Dhababawadi in Barwani district. Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Prem Singh Patel will award the winners. Competitions were organized by the Animal Husbandry Department from February 1 to 15, 2023 in all the districts of the state to promote Indian advanced breed of cows with Madhya Pradesh’s original breed cows – Malvi, Nimadi and Kenkatha.

First prize to the cow giving more than 14 liters of milk of the native breed of the state

In the scheme, after the district level competition, the most milch cows have been selected at the state level. In both the competitions, the first prize will be Rs 2 lakh, the second one lakh and the third prize Rs 50,000.

In the competition of the state’s native cattle breed, the Malvi cow of Shajapur district’s Ashish Sharma’s the Malvi vow gave 14.760 liters of milk got first position, Ghanshyam Prajapati of Bandarbela Badnagar, Ujjain district Malvi cow gave 12.882 liters of milk got the second and Deepak Verma of Patlavad district, Dhar whose Nimadi cow gave 11.96 liters of milk, got third prize.

First prize to a cow of Indian advanced breed giving more than 25 liters of milk

In the Indian advanced breed, Rajmani Yadav of Chhatarpur district’s Nayagaon Gir breed cow giving 25.21 liters of milk got first, Neemuch’s Neelu Murari’s Gir breed cow giving 22.45 liters of milk and Ravendra resident of Kathura, Singrauli district, second prize and Kumar Pandey’s cow of Sahiwal breed giving 20.99 liters of milk will be given third prize.
