The high court request of February 10, which denies the utilization of hijabs, saffron wraps and other strict images, doesn’t make a difference to degree schools in Karnataka, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said in the state get together Wednesday.

“The high court request won’t be continued in all schools. HC has said just schools where regalia are endorsed, a boycott will apply,” Bommai told the Assembly.

The central priest’s remarks came after the issue of Muslim understudies wearing hijab not being permitted to go to classes was raised by the head of the resistance Siddaramaiah during Zero Hour.
The Congress chief looked for an explanation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government on a proclamation made by Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwathnarayan on Tuesday that the high court’s limit on strict images would not matter to degree schools.

Boss pastor Bommai expressed in his reaction that according to the February 10 high court request, limitations on strict images are for pre-college schools where garbs without headscarves have been endorsed by the school.

The Karnataka HC in its structure limited “every one of the understudies no matter what their religion or confidence from wearing saffron wraps (Bhagwa) scarfs, hijab, strict banners or something like that, inside the study hall, until additional orders.” It likewise added that the request “is restricted to such establishments wherein the College Development Committees have recommended the understudy clothing regulation/uniform.”
