Chirag Paswan’s uncle and Hajipur MP Pashupati Kumar Paras has been unanimously elected as the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in the Lok Sabha, ANI reported. The action is a big blow for Chirag Paswan’s LJP, as five of the party’s six Lok Sabha MPs turned against him and wrote to the speaker requesting to be regarded as a distinct group.

The rebellion’s alleged mastermind, Pashupati Kumar Paras, claimed that five MPs wanted Chirag Paswan to resign as the lower House’s leader.

“There are 6 MPs in our party. It was the desire of 5 MPs to save our party. So, I’ve not broken the party, I’ve saved it. Chirag Paswan is my nephew as well as party’s national president. I have no objection against him,” Pashupati Kumar Paras said.

Five MPs have written to the Speaker, and we will meet with him as soon as he orders,” the Hajipur MP stated. Paras is furious with his nephew, and it’s been said that he’s spoken to a JD(U) Lok Sabha MP about it.

The majority of Chirag’s own Lok Sabha MPs seek to replace him with Hajipur MP Pashupati Kumar Paras as the LJP’s next Lok Sabha leader. The LJP MPs had previously met with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and delivered him a letter informing him of the current developments.

On Sunday, LJP MPs met with Lok Speaker Om Birla and presented him a letter detailing recent events in the party. They want him to consider Pashupati Kumar Paras as the LJP’s next Lok Sabha leader.

Since his father’s death a year ago, Chirag Paswan, the son of late party chief Ram Vilas Paswan, has had a difficult time administering the party.

In Bihar, more than 200 LJP leaders joined JDU in February. At a press conference, JD(U) national president RCP Singh announced the induction of 208 LJP leaders.

Former state general secretary Keshav Singh, who had been in mutiny against Chirag Paswan and had been forecasting the party’s demise for some time, was the most renowned of the turncoats.

Following the death of his father Ram Vilas, Keshav Singh lashed out at LJP head Chirag Paswan, stating that he was operating the party like a corporation.

Chirag Paswan was also accused of corruption by Keshav Singh, who claimed that he was the CEO of various private companies in India and overseas.

“Chirag has eight private corporations with assets both in the United States and abroad. “Shortly, I’ll reveal how Chirag spent money acquired via corruption in his enterprises in an attempt to turn his black money white,” Keshav Singh added.

Chirag Paswan, according to Keshav Singh, would be arrested shortly on corruption accusations.
