WITH THE Omicron alarm on the wind down, Supreme Court has chosen to continue actual hearings part of the way.

A round gave by the Secretary General on Monday said Chief Justice of India N V Ramana in conference with Committee of Judges has chosen to restore the Modified SOP advised on October 7, 2021.

As indicated by this SOP, all matters recorded on Thursdays and Fridays will be heard just through actual mode. On Tuesdays, there will be the choice to demand for physical or virtual hearing. There will be limitations on the quantity of insight permitted into the courts.

All hearings under the steady gaze of the top court from February 14 will follow the Modified SOP.
The third wave had seriously impacted the working of the court with in excess of twelve adjudicators and countless library representatives testing positive. This constrained the court to suspend the two-day of the week actual hearing it had begun after a long hole. The court had been hearing cases just by means of the virtual mode for long after the Covid-19 initiated public lockdown in 2020.
