Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that selection in government service is a rare and fortunate moment in life. Government service is an opportunity to serve the public. Show it by doing a better job. Your work will increase your respect and change the lives of the farmers as well. Work with passion and enthusiasm.

Chouhan was distributing appointment orders to newly selected 126 senior Horticulture Development and Horticulture Extension officers in Horticulture and Food Processing Department at Samatva Bhavan, residence office. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing Bharat Singh Kushwaha along with departmental officers were present.

Chouhan said that when I became the Chief Minister, the per capita income in the state was Rs 13 thousand, which has now increased to Rs one lakh 40 thousand. Agriculture has a big contribution in this. To increase the income of the farmers, production of horticulture crops is being encouraged by changing the crop cycle. It is my passion to make Madhya Pradesh the best state in the world. For this, attention is being paid not only to agriculture, but also to industry and business. He said that life is too short, so do such work that people remember. Your parents should also be proud of you. Chouhan encouraged the selected garden extension officers with stories and incidents.

Kushwaha said that agriculture is being made a profitable business under the able leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. Farmers can double their income by horticulture crops. The state has received Krishi Karman Award several times. I believe that similarly there will be award in the field of horticulture. The state government is also worrying about the officers and employees along with the farmers. Special attention is being paid to increase employment opportunities. The newly selected Horticulture Development and Extension officers greeted Chouhan by clapping.
