Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that we are working to change the lives of the people. Efforts are on to run the government like a family in the state. Day and night I pray to Mahakal Maharaj that the people of the state remain happy and their welfare is done.

The poor and farmers are being helped by the state government by running several welfare schemes in this direction. Poor women will be made economically and socially self-dependent by Ladli Bahna Yojana. Economic cooperation is being done to connect the youth with self-employment on a large scale along with government jobs, he said.

Today, loans worth Rs 9,868 crore have been distributed to more than 13 lakh youth and women of the state for self-employment, he said.

Chouhan today participated in the Vikas Yatra in Mahidpur Nagar of Ujjain district and distributed loans for self-employment in the State Level Employment Day programme.

Chouhan said that where I had made Ladli Laxmi Yojana for my nieces, now I have made Ladli Bahna Yojana for my sisters. Applications will be taken under the scheme from March 5. Rs 1000 will be transferred to all the eligible sisters from June 10 after the applications are scrutinised. Under the scheme, every month the amount will be transferred to the beneficiary woman’s account. Along with this, the old age pension amount given to the old people will be increased from Rs.600 to Rs.1000.

Chouhan said that work is being done at many levels to make the youth self-dependent. While on the one hand 1.25 lakh recruitments are being done for government jobs, on the other hand many schemes are being implemented for self-employment. He said that it has been observed that the percentage of children from government schools in the selection test for medical and engineering is less. Keeping this in view, new rules are now being made in Madhya Pradesh, in which a separate merit list will be prepared for government school children. The Chief Minister said that medical and engineering education, which was going on since the British era, has now been started in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh. With this, the sons and daughters of our poor farmers will also be able to study.

Chouhan said that the previous government had stopped many of our public welfare schemes. We have restarted these schemes and started giving benefits. The farmers who have become defaulters in the name of loan waiver, the interest amount will be paid by the state government and loans will be made available to the farmers at zero percent interest. The Chief Minister said that Teerth Darshan Yojana has also been restarted in the state. Now pilgrims will be taken to pilgrimage by aeroplane. The Chief Minister said that a campaign is also being run for the homeless in the state. People who do not have plots to live on, will be made landowners by giving them plots free of cost.

The Chief Minister also interacted with some of the youth to whom he distributed checks of loan amount for self-employment on the occasion of Employment Day today. During the virtual interaction, the Chief Minister learned about the process of obtaining loan by having virtual interaction with Shri Narmada Prasad of Harda, Ekta Arora of Ashok Nagar, Rohit Patel of Katni and Pradyuman Rawat of Niwari. The Chief Minister asked whether they faced any problem in getting loan for self-employment. All the youth thanked the Chief Minister for getting loans easily.

During Vikas Yatra, Chouhan laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several construction works worth Rs. 1123 crore in Mahidpur. The Chief Minister distributed loan sanction letters and symbolic checks to the beneficiaries of various schemes. On reaching Mahidpur, Chouhan along with Vikas Rath reached the venue of the program via the main roads of the city. The citizens welcomed the Chief Minister by showering flowers. The Chief Minister also performed lamp lighting and Kanya-pujan at the beginning of the programme.

MSME Minister Omprakash Sakhalecha said that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has turned the backward state into a developing state. Madhya Pradesh has become the state with maximum growth today. The Chief Minister is really doing all-round development of the state by imagining the Ladli Bahna Yojana, the scheme of providing water to the fields, the scheme of providing drinking water to every village and the CM Rise School scheme. Shri Sakhalecha said that 22 clusters of industries have been approved in the state. An investment of Rs. 5,300 crore has been made in these. Along with this, 13 new clusters are being formed. Industries are being established in the state by developing better infrastructure, which will provide employment to the youth.

Member of Parliament Shri Anil Firoziya said that with the blessings of Mahakal, the first phase of Mahakal Lok has been inaugurated by the Prime Minister. He said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made the Ganges of development flow in Madhya Pradesh. The state has come first in wheat production in the country. Ladli Bahna Yojana is being implemented for our sisters in the month of March.

MLA Bahadur Singh Chauhan said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given a lot to Mahidpur assembly constituency. Here drinking water is being supplied to all the families of 264 villages at a cost of 344 crores. He has sanctioned two dams worth Rs 300 crore. Water is being supplied to the village from Indokh Dam. District in-charge and Finance Minister Jagdish Deora was also present in the programme.
