Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given instructions to submit the inquiry report of Satpura Bhavan fire incident in 3 days.

Chouhan has said that it is a matter of satisfaction that there was no loss of life in the unfortunate incident. The offices which have been affected by the fire should be shifted to other buildings and work should be started immediately so that government work is not affected. Records should be maintained by retrieving government documents digitally.

Chouhan gave these instructions in a high-level meeting on the fire incident at Satpura Bhavan. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Prabhuram Chowdhary and Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were present in the meeting held at residence office Samatva Bhavan.

Chouhan said that concrete arrangements should be made for fire safety audit so that such accidents do not happen in future. It is also necessary to ensure that space is available around all multistoried buildings to operate the fire fighting system. It was informed in the meeting that teams of Army, CISF, BHEL and Airport Authority were activated to control the fire. Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Family Welfare Mohammad Suleman, Principal Secretary Neeraj Mandloi, Pallavi Jain Govil, Sukhbir Singh were present in the meeting.
